August 19, 2018 Pastor: Verne Nakasone Series: James

Passage: James 4:4–4:6

OVERVIEW:

James gives us a picture of how we are to live the Christian life. The significance of today’s text is that while James describes the struggle, he also directs our attention to our hope.

2A. GOD GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE
Greater than the bounty of sin in us is the bounty of God’s grace in Christ. There is more grace in Christ than sin in us.

Humility is an attitude of heart whereby we see ourselves accurately in light of God and His Word and confess our sinfulness and weakness.
